Ceramic Sculpture
A series of hand-built ceramics, inspired by the works of Oswaldo Guayasamín. Hands clench, and faces cry out. Both in the form of interpretive Vessel and in 3D translations of Guayasamín's "Las Manos" paintings, these works react and cope with the collapse of the world around them. In a landscape where the immediate feels distant and vice versa, these ceramics verbalize the ugly, unverbalized twisting of the gut. These ceramics were scanned, rigged and animated in the piece SCREAM_COWER_PRAY, applying these emotions to their own the digital void.
